Anjali or Geets

Anjali or Geets…

Sounds funny to me… I remember my childhood… I studied in a Christian school. We were told that the world would come to an end in the year 2000. The signs of GOD were showing up… fire on water... gulf war... with all due respects to the teacher… I thought I would die at the tender age of 17! I would never become a major… and know what the world would be like when one becomes an adult.

When I look back, it’s so funny. Ain’t it?

Well…the small innocent pinky grew up as a teenage anjali. And the elements of existence transformed her to Geets! Anjali doesn’t like the adults’ world at all… Yes! she was dumb, stupid, ready to be bullied kind of a material. Too tall for her class… may be huge and colossal! J But that never bothered her.

Today Geets is different. Her height gives tall, dark handsome guys a complex. J She bullies people around. She can go on and on with PJs. She’s not the topper but is known to all as an all-rounder. Thanks to dad’s decision to go into a girls school after the tenth grader and the usual choice to put her into a “girls only” graduate college.

Anjali seems to have lost herself as Geets got bolder… nah! It’s not the multiple personality disorder story... It’s just about an individual transforming into a different individual. As the elders call it … “it’s about GROWING UP kid”

As she grew up she got a new nickname, “Geets!” and that’s how she calls herself today.

Today Geets fears she’s lost the innocence of anjali. And may be she regrets that. She has become so thick skinned that her heart is that of a rock!

And as usual, she doesn’t open up to a friend… but to her diary... which has now become online... They call it blogging, I guess so!
